December already! Tomorrow is my first ever Soup and Cookie party. Mike and I are making butternut squash soup (with ginger and leek), as well as corn chowder with herb butter. We made up two batches of cookie dough, which we'll roll, cut, and bake tomorrow morning. I hope we have enough surfaces to use for cookie decorating. And my sister is bringing over bowls, so that we'll have enough for the soups. Eric and Kristen are each bringing a soup too. Yummyummyummyum.

I'm looking forward to having a week and a half off over the holidays. We're taking a trip up the coast for a week, which should be very relaxing. My intent is to not use a computer for the whole week.
