As if being in an auto accident myself wasn't enough, today my sister was in a car smash on the Bay Bridge. My accident was wimpy compared to hers. She went to SF General in an ambulance, and her car got towed. Anyway, nothing is broken, but it looks like she'll be hurting for awhile. Also, the emergency room at SF General is *nasty.* I have never seen any hospital like it. Ew, ew, ew!

The current pain in my ass is that my car was rear ended on Saturday. This means that I have to deal with insurance adjusters, getting my car repaired, renting a car, etc. I spent 1.5 hours in the DMV this morning just to show them I have insurance so they'd give me my registration and tag for this year. I hate stuff like that.

The insurance adjuster was nice, but between that and the DMV visit, this day is wasted. I'm not going to do anything about getting my car fixed until I'm back from Seattle. It can just wait a week.

At least my cold is over, and I didn't get hurt in the accident.

So much has been happening. I got very little sleep last week, due to a crazy on call week, and now I have a cold. This makes me less than happy. Plus there's a bunch of weird stuff going on at work. This also makes me less than happy. Fortunately the rest of my life is making me happy.

Mike and I made some super yummy cookies last night. They are hazelnut sandwich cookies with chocolate in the middle. They turned out well.

Tonight I got a bunch of house stuff done. I rearanged the pots and pans, changed the filter on my air filter, and cleaned out several drawers. We must be coming up on spring, because I feel a compulsion to go through all my stuff and get rid of things I don't use or need.

I didn't get to sleep much last night becuase I kept getting paged, however when I did sleep, I had these dreams:
I dreamt that a good friend of mine was dead.
I dreamt that I was a church photographer again.
I dreamt that sys admins in the silicon valley were being paid in airplanes and aircraft carriers instead of in dollars, and that going out into the middle of the ocean and flying planes was all the rage.

Yesterday Mike and I had dinner with his friends in Sunnyvale. Yummy Salvadorean food was eaten, and I got to meet some people that I hadn't met before.

Tonight Toby and I went to the Concert on the Hill at the Catholic church. It was great, and I would write more about it, but all I really want to do is sit in my room and read my library book. So, I'm going to go do that now.

Today is my half birthday! Yay me!

In other news, Orkut math is totally broken. It claims that "You are connected to -31507 people through 59 friends."
