I'm getting excited about my mini vacation that I'm taking this weekend. I've always wanted to see Hearst Castle all dressed up for Christmas, and now I will.

There is a horrible, awful sound outside of my house. It's a new sign going up for the video store that's on the first floor. It sounds like huge fingernails on a gigantic chalkboard. I hope it's done going up soon. Not only is the front of my building getting this little face lift, but Liberty is also being dressed up for the holiday season today. When I went for coffee I saw that the insides were getting decked out with garland and such, and some beautiful new hanging baskets were going up in back. I really like the baskets, and wouldn't mind having some of my own like that, if only I had somewhere to put them up.

In this past rain storm, my wind chimes, which were hanging off of the overhang by the kitchen door, fell and broke. I used to hate windchimes, passionately. But my sister gave these to me for some occassion, and I put them up. I eventually I got used to them. Now, I miss them. Go figure.

Stephane is in town, and we're going to the Tonga Room to get our tiki on tonight. Very Exciting.

My my, it's December already. Photos from the most festive Thanksgiving weekend are up. It was a lovely weekend. I need more long weekends. Fortunately, I'm going to have one, and then I'm going to have a whole week off. Yay.
